Marjorie Duncan has served as executive assistant to Bishop Noel Jones for more than 35 years. She is a former educator, community organizer and activist, and assistant in civic and community organizations. After graduating from Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, with a degree in secondary education, she taught briefly in Longview, Texas. She moved to Los Angeles in 1995 to work for Bishop Jones as his assistant and church administrator. In 2009, along with Beverly Robinson, Duncan founded the administrative support initiative Christian Executive Administrative Support Staff Empowerment (C.E.A.S.E.), with a mission “to equip, support, mentor, and minister to individuals who serve and work in all areas of Christian ministry” – particularly those in executive positions.
