Tina Naidoo is executive director of the Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative (T.O.R.I.). Founded by visionary thought leader Bishop T.D. Jakes, T.O.R.I. has addressed the needs of more than30,000 returning citizens across Texas since 2005. A licensed clinical social worker, Naidoo developed a clinically designed,12-month program that leads to self-sufficiency for returning citizens who are motivated to change. Through program evaluations conducted by the Institute for Urban Planning and Development at the University of Texas at Dallas, T.O.R.I.’s model is a key component in combating recidivism. Naidoo is affiliated with the Texas chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and serves on the advisory board for Christ for the Nations Institute.
