Nicole Wood

Nicole Wood is policy and communication lead for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, where she serves as a liaison on DHS-related issues impacting faith-based and community-based organizations. She facilitates communication on protecting the safety and security of houses of worship and serves as communication outreach strategist on meeting the needs of survivors of natural and human-made disasters and human trafficking, domestically and internationally. A compassionate voice and visionary leader with more than 22 years of policy and programming experience, Wood works on behalf of adversely affected and historically underserved populations across religious and cultural communities in the U.S. and globally. She has served at World Relief and World Hope International, as a Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and with former Civil Rights leader and Congressman John Lewis on Capitol Hill.
